Yang Siwen, male, is an associate professor at the School of Journalism and Communication of Nanchang University and a postgraduate supervisor. He holds a Doctor of Literature degree from Wuhan University and was a visiting scholar at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in the United States. He is dedicated to teaching and research in areas such as news gathering and writing, political communication, and new media practice. He has led one project funded by the National Social Science Foundation and several provincial and ministerial-level projects. He has published an academic monograph titled Research on the Impact of Media on Public Policy Formulation and a textbook titled Essentials of News Writing in the Internet Age. He has also published numerous academic papers, with some being fully reprinted in the People's University of China Reprint Journal.
