Xing Xiang, a native of Dongying, Shandong Province, is an Associate Professor. She received her Ph.D. from the Communication University of China and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Fudan University. Her research focuses on Marxist journalism and public opinion studies, news releases and briefings, and international communication, with particular strengths in guiding youth public opinion and evaluating news releases. She serves as a member of the News Release Evaluation Group of the State Council Information Office, a Specially Appointed Researcher at the International Public Relations Research Center of Fudan University, a Distinguished Research Fellow at the Jiangxi New Liberal Arts Education Research Center, a member of the Jiangxi News Release Expert Panel, and an expert on online public opinion for Nanchang City. She has led or participated in more than 20 research projects at the national and provincial/ministerial levels. She has published papers in leading Chinese journals, including Journalism & Communication and Jiangxi Social Sciences, and has published or co-edited three books. She has also contributed to more than 100 policy advisory and evaluation reports, many of which have been adopted by national ministries and commissions, and some have received written comments from senior officials of central and provincial authorities.
