I. Basic Qualifications for Application

(1) The applicant must be a citizen of the People's Republic of China.

(2) The applicant must abide by the Constitution and laws, and uphold the leadership of the Communist Party of China and the socialist system.

(3) The applicant must possess good political quality and moral character.

(4) The applicant must meet the job requirements, professional qualifications, skill requirements, and physical conditions specified for the position.

(5) The applicant must hold a doctoral degree (for 2026 fresh graduates, the doctoral degree certificate must be obtained no later than December 31, 2026; failure to obtain it on time will result in the cancellation of employment eligibility) or hold a full senior professional title together with a postgraduate degree at the master's level or above.

(6) The applicant should generally be under 40 years of age (born after January 27, 1985). Age requirements may be appropriately relaxed for Outstanding Talents, Discipline Leading Talents, and Discipline Direction Leaders.

II. Categories of Talents Recruited

(A)Outstanding Talents– No limit on the number of recruited positions. Candidates should demonstrate very strong academic leadership, with pioneering achievements and outstanding academic contributions widely recognized by domestic and international peers in their field. They should have experience in organizing and planning major scientific research projects and demonstrate an exceptional ability to coordinate and plan research on major strategic issues for economic and social development. They should possess the strategic planning capability of a strategic scientist for discipline construction and scientific research, and be able to lead relevant discipline clusters to maintain or achieve domestic leadership and international advanced standards.

(B)Discipline Leading Talents– No limit on the number of recruited positions. Candidates should possess strong academic organizational skills, have achieved influential results at the domestic leading or international advanced level within their discipline, and made significant academic accomplishments. They should have active academic thinking and creative visions for disciplinary development, enabling them to lead the relevant discipline to a domestically leading position and to pursue domestic leadership and international advanced standards in frontier fields.

(C)Discipline Direction Leaders– No limit on the number of recruited positions. Candidates should possess strong team-organizing skills, have achieved significant representative results in their specific discipline direction, and show promising academic competitiveness and great development potential. They should be capable of planning the development of their discipline direction and have innovative ideas for discipline building and academic research.

(D)Excellent Discipline Talents– No limit on the number of recruited positions. Candidates should possess strong academic capability, with influential and representative achievements in their discipline. They should show development potential and innovative ideas for discipline construction, and possess the potential to support the discipline in maintaining or reaching domestically advanced standards. Generally, candidates should have at least two years of postdoctoral experience at well-known domestic or international universities or research institutions, experience in leading a national-level scientific research project, and the potential to compete for national-level young talent programs. Newly hired personnel will sign an employment contract with a tenure-track (probationary) period of 6 years; upon passing the term assessment, a renewal contract will be signed.

IV. Salary and Benefits

V. Recruitment Procedure

This recruitment plan is implemented throughout the full year of 2026, starting from the date of this announcement. The recruitment process is organized and carried out according to the procedures of application, qualification review, assessment, physical examination, inspection, public announcement, and appointment.

(A) Application

1. Applicants should compile the "Nanchang University Full-Time High-Level Talent Recommendation Form (2026 New Version)", the "Nanchang University Applicant's Close Relatives Report Commitment Letter", a detailed curriculum vitae, relevant performance materials, and three letters of recommendation into a single compressed file (zip) and send it to the contact email of the school. The size of each compressed file should not exceed 5MB.

2. Submission requirements: The email subject and attachment name must specify the following: Graduation Institution, Name & Degree, Major, Intended School and Specific Position (e.g., XX University + Wang XX Postdoctoral Fellow + XX Major + Applying for the Excellent Discipline Talents Position in XX School).

3. Applicants must carefully and truthfully fill out and submit all relevant materials. Any consequences arising from the provision of false materials shall be borne by the applicant.

(B) Qualification Review

The university will conduct a preliminary review of applicants' qualifications to determine those eligible for assessment. If application materials are incomplete or do not meet requirements, applicants must supplement and perfect them within the specified timeframe and resubmit them for review as required. Failure to do so by the deadline will be considered an unsuccessful application. Qualification review is carried out throughout the entire recruitment process. Any falsification or failure to meet position requirements discovered during the process will result in disqualification from assessment and appointment, and the consequences arising therefrom shall be borne solely by the applicant.

(C) Assessment

After 10 working days from the release of the announcement, the school will organize assessments on an irregular basis depending on the application situation. The specific time and venue of the assessment will be notified separately by telephone. There is no minimum ratio requirement for the number of participants to proceed with the assessment. The school will assess applicants' teaching and research capabilities, professional quality, etc., in accordance with position requirements. The assessment is conducted on a hundred-point scale, with a passing score of 80. Only applicants whose assessment score reaches the passing line will be eligible to proceed to the physical examination stage.

(D) Physical Examination

Candidates who pass the assessment must undergo a physical examination at a location designated by our institution. The examination standards refer to the "General Standards for Physical Examination for Civil Servant Recruitment (Trial)" (MOHRSS Document No. 140 [2016]) and relevant university regulations. Applicants who fail the physical examination will not be employed. Honest participation in the physical examination is required; any falsification, once verified, will result in disqualification from employment.

(E) Inspection

A comprehensive inspection will be conducted for those who pass the physical examination, to thoroughly understand their political quality, moral conduct, work ability, legal compliance, integrity and self-discipline, academic and work performance, physical and mental health, and other conditions.

(F) Public Announcement

A public announcement of the proposed personnel who pass the inspection will be made for a period of 5 working days.

(G) Appointment

VI. Other Notes

1. Any related adjustments will be publicly announced by our university via website notification.

2. If the documents or policies upon which this announcement is based are changed, the amended and valid documents or policies shall prevail. The final right of interpretation of this announcement belongs to the Human Resources Department of Nanchang University.
