I. Basic Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must uphold the correct political orientation, support the Constitution of the People’s Republic of China, endorse the leadership of the Communist Party of China and the socialist system, implement the Party’s guidelines and policies, demonstrate loyalty to and passion for the cause of education under the Party’s leadership, practice core socialist values, and comply with professional ethics, laws, regulations, and university policies.


II. Categories of Talent Sought

(1) Distinguished Scholars
— No limit on the number of positions.
Candidates should possess exceptional academic leadership and have achieved internationally recognized, groundbreaking accomplishments and outstanding scholarly contributions in their field. They must have experience organizing and leading major research initiatives and demonstrate strong strategic planning capabilities in addressing key national socio-economic development issues. They should be capable of guiding interdisciplinary clusters to maintain or achieve domestic leadership and international excellence.

(2) Disciplinary Leading Talents
— No limit on the number of positions.
Candidates should exhibit strong academic organizational skills and have produced influential research outcomes that are nationally leading or internationally advanced. They should be intellectually active, hold innovative visions for disciplinary development, and be able to lead their discipline into a position of national prominence while striving for international competitiveness at the frontier of the field.

(3) Discipline/Research Direction Leaders
— No limit on the number of positions.
Candidates should demonstrate strong team leadership, have produced significant representative achievements in their specific discipline or research direction, and show solid academic competitiveness and high potential for future growth. They must be capable of formulating development plans for their research direction and offer innovative ideas for advancing disciplinary construction and scholarly research.

(4) Outstanding Young Scholars
— No limit on the number of positions.
Candidates should possess strong academic capabilities and have produced influential representative work within their discipline. They should demonstrate developmental potential and innovative thinking regarding disciplinary advancement, with the capacity to support or propel the discipline toward national excellence.
Typically, candidates should hold a postdoctoral position (minimum 2 years) at a renowned university or research institution, domestically or overseas, and have served as principal investigator on national-level research projects. They should show strong potential to qualify for national-level young talent programs.
New appointees will sign a six-year probationary contract; renewal is contingent upon successful performance evaluation at the end of the term.

All applicants must hold a doctoral degree (Ph.D.) or a full professorship (senior-level academic title).


IV. Compensation and Benefits

Competitive salary packages and generous research start-up funding will be provided. State-of-the-art laboratory facilities and a supportive research environment will be made available. Specific terms will be negotiated individually ("one-on-one negotiation"). Additional benefits include:

V. Recruitment Process

The recruitment process includes application submission, evaluation, medical examination, background review, public announcement, and formal appointment. This recruitment initiative will remain open throughout 2025 until all positions are filled. Evaluations will commence no earlier than 10 working days after the announcement date and will be conducted periodically based on application volume, with no minimum candidate threshold required.

(2) Evaluation

Hiring units will conduct evaluations via one or more formats and submit representative works for external peer review. Final appointments will be made based on review outcomes and university approval. Specific evaluation dates and venues will be communicated separately.

(3) Medical Examination

  • Shortlisted candidates (1:1 ratio per position) will undergo a medical exam at a designated facility.

  • Standards follow the Jiangxi Province Teacher Certification Medical Examination Guidelines (Revised 2021) (Gan Jiao Gui Zi [2021] No. 3) and university regulations. Candidates must be in good physical and mental health.

(4) Background Review

A comprehensive assessment will be conducted on politically qualified candidates who pass the medical exam, covering political integrity, moral character, professional competence, legal compliance, ethical conduct, academic/work performance, and overall well-being.

(5) Public Announcement

Approved candidates will be publicly listed on campus for five working days, including basic information and position details.

(6) Appointment

  • Upon successful completion of the announcement period, formal onboarding procedures will commence.

  • A probationary period applies in accordance with national regulations; failure to pass the probationary evaluation will result in termination.

  • Newly hired staff will receive standard public institution employee benefits and be enrolled under the university’s “compiled-quota” management system, with compensation in line with relevant policies.
