At the beginning of the lecture, Professor Zhang Kun highlighted the academic origins and data collection standards of the "Chinese Public Worldview" survey. He then delivered an in-depth analysis centered on six key dimensions: the global perspective of the Chinese public, their awareness of great-power status, international responsibility, self-confidence, sense of identity, and sense of well-being.

He proposed that in the new era, while the Chinese public possesses a broad global vision and a clear understanding of great-power standing, they also demonstrate a strong sense of national identity and firm institutional confidence. In terms of perceptions of comprehensive national power, the public rated China's developmental achievements higher than those of the United States. Regarding the dimension of national image, China ranked top in terms of international image, international trustworthiness, and recognition of its commitment to peace. The public holds clear and unequivocal stances, firmly opposing external interference in China's internal affairs.

During the interactive session, Professor Zhang Kun patiently answered students' questions and encouraged them to develop strong professional expertise in order to contribute to enhancing the effectiveness of China's international communication.

This lecture deepened the understanding of our school's faculty and students regarding the worldview and great-power mentality of the Chinese public, providing valuable data support and practical insights for research in international communication.
