Professor Chen Changfeng from Tsinghua University gave a lecture at our institute.
 Time:2025-12-17

From December 8 to 9, 2025, Professor Chen Changfeng from Tsinghua University was invited to deliver a lecture at our college titled “Frontiers and Current Research on Human-Machine Relationships.” Over 60 graduate students, doctoral candidates, and academic faculty members attended the event.

At the outset of her lecture, Professor Chen pointed out that with the rapid rise of large language models, various intelligent agents are continuously emerging. This technological transformation is not only reshaping the landscape of scientific and technological development but also shifting the criteria for news value judgment, thereby narrowing the traditional imaginative space of journalism.

Technologies such as natural language processing, affective computing, and brain-computer interfaces are making human-machine communication increasingly human-like. However, they also raise critical challenges concerning data privacy protection, algorithmic fairness, and workforce restructuring. Professor Chen emphasized that the core of human-machine relationships lies in human-centered values. She argued that the future must build an integrated framework combining technological innovation, ethical guidelines, and legal safeguards to ensure that artificial intelligence serves the holistic development of humanity.

During the Q&A session, students actively posed questions on topics including “the boundaries of human-machine communication in multimodal contexts,” “mitigating value biases in algorithmic recommendations,” and “guiding emotional interactions between adolescents and AI.” Professor Chen responded to each question by drawing on her own research findings. She particularly reminded the audience that, in the face of rapidly advancing intelligent technologies, it is essential to maintain both technological sensitivity and critical thinking.
