On March 16, to further strengthen exchanges and cooperation between universities and explore the high-quality development of journalism and communication disciplines, a delegation from the School of Journalism and Communication, Nanchang University visited the School of Journalism and Communication, Minzu University of China. The two sides held discussions and seminars focusing on core topics such as disciplinary development, faculty team building, and innovation in teaching and research.

During the symposium, Professor Mao Zhanwen, Dean of the School of Journalism and Communication at Minzu University of China, gave a detailed introduction to the school’s history, distinctive features, as well as its major achievements, practices and experience in discipline construction, talent cultivation, scientific research and social services. Professor Professor Zhang Zhenting, Vice Dean of the School of Journalism and Communication at Nanchang University, presented an overview of the school’s development, disciplinary strengths, and its explorations in university-department collaboration and practical teaching.

In the exchange session, teachers from both schools conducted in-depth discussions on disciplinary development, faculty construction and talent introduction, teaching reform and research innovation, and optimization of talent training programs. The two sides agreed that they share much common ground in educational philosophy and development goals, and have complementary advantages in disciplinary characteristics and research fields, expressing expectations for strengthened cooperation and exchanges in the future.
